Join the gents of Water Witch on an in-depth tasting session of an often under-appreciated category with a growing cult following – fortified wines. We’ll dive in together to explore this vast category through tasting, comparing, and learning their histories and lore. What’s more – these are fantastic matches for cheese, salumi, chocolate and more. In fact, tinned seafood culture has been pushed further into the spotlight because of how well it pairs with vermouth. We’ll lead you through a series of expressions that will explore stylistic, ingredient, and aging differences with the goal of finding styles of these fortified wines for you to enjoy long after this class.

About Water Witch: Matt Pfohl, Scott Gardner and Sean Neves are award-winning cocktail and spirits professionals with over 35 years of collective experience and dozens of clients in the restaurant and bar world. In early 2016, they opened their namesake bar, Water Witch in Salt Lake City. Formerly known as Church & State bar collective, they love to share their knowledge of spirits and cocktails with the public.
