Intro to Bitters
Tasting Class
Downtown, 07:15

An era of imbibing with panache died with the Prohibition. Luckily, this culture is being resurrected due to the resurfacing of a category that classic beverages cannot do without, bitters. Join Caputo’s own Matt Caputo and Rob Easter of Workhorse Rye for an evening dedicated to all things bitters. We will explore the history, tasting notes, and uses (including culinary) of bitters and learn the nuances of bitters as we sip on some mighty fine cocktails.

About Rob Easter and Workhorse: Workhorse Rye specializes in handcrafted spirits and bitters made from organic ingredients. Both Workhorse’s standard bitters and seasonal releases are complex, thoughtful, and full of potential for both cocktail and culinary use. Based in and around San Francisco since 2011, Workhorse draws on unique flavors, ages old tradition, and artisan ingenuity. We could not be more pleased, nor honored, to welcome Rob Easter to Caputo’s for this event.

Class: $20; Cocktails : $25

Please note: All cancellations require 24 hours notice. Food and wine are purchased and prepared in advance and cannot be re-purposed. Because we can sympathize with last minute emergencies, we can offer either a one time half refund or full credit to a future class.
