Tasting Notes: A nostalgic flavour. Creamy, aromatic soy with crunchy bits of you tiao.
Soy milk and youtiao (豆浆油条) is a popular choice for breakfast in olden days Singapore.
Youtiaos are perfectly deep-fried golden-brown strips of wheat flour dough. Crispy and chewy, they make great snacks on their own but the real enjoyment is dipping them into a warm bowl of nutritious soy milk.
In this collaboration chocolate with Xi De Li—a pioneer in the youtiao industry since the 1920s, dehydrated youtiaos are paired with creamy, aromatic 38% soy white chocolate to create this classic dish in a bar.
Ingredients: Cacao butter, soy powder, cane sugar, you tiao (wheat flour, vegetable oil, salt, sodium bicarbonate).
