What is Concierge Gifting?
Concierge gifting is a service we offer to simplify the entire gift-giving process, whether you’re selecting one perfect gift or multiple presents for different recipients. We’re here to assist every step of the way, from helping you to select the ideal present to ensuring its delivery.
TIMELINES & MINIMUMS
How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing orders as early as possible to ensure the widest range of options and preferred delivery windows. While we are most confident with a two-week window, timing can vary based on order size, customization, and seasonal volume. We can typically ship within 2-3 business days from the time all necessary information is received and payment is completed. If you have a specific date in mind, simply let us know! We’re happy to advise on current lead times and offer expedited solutions whenever possible.
Do you offer last-minute or same-day gifting options?
For same-day gifting, we recommend Caputo’s Online Gift Certificates (valid on caputos.com only, not in-stores). They can be sent to the recipient the same day they’re purchased. For rush requests, please reach out to us, as expedited services may be available.
Do you have a minimum order requirement?
Our concierge minimum order requirement is $30 per gift.
GIFT NOTES & ADD-ONS
Can I include additional personal items with my order?
Yes, depending on the nature of your item and available space in the shipment box. Any additional collateral or personal items will incur a minimum $7.99 handling fee per shipment. Additional charges may be required for oversized, fragile, or complex items. Caputo’s reserves the right to decline the inclusion of certain items at its discretion. Please coordinate the details with our Concierge Specialist in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
Can I include a personal note?
Absolutely. When it comes to notecards, we offer several options:
A) Packing Slip Message [complimentary]: we print your personalized message directly on the packing slip.
B) Delicious Days Cardstock [$2.99 per note]: upgrade your message to our signature Delicious Days cardstock.
C) Client-Provided Cards (identical card across shipments) [complimentary]: you supply your own cards with the same message for all recipients.
D) Client-Provided Cards (personalized per shipment) [$1.99 per note]: you supply cards to be matched to individual recipient names or messages.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
At this time, Caputo’s does not offer traditional gift wrapping. Instead, each shipment is thoughtfully packed in presentation ready packaging, including a custom-branded gift box with signature tissue paper and eco-friendly materials to ensure it arrives safely and presents beautifully. You may also include a personalized message printed on our signature Delicious Days [hyperlinked if possible] cardstock for $2.99 per note. This fee applies solely to the notecard and is not a gift-wrapping charge, but rather a beautiful finishing touch to enhance the special nature of your order.
SHIPPING & PICKUP
Do you ship internationally?
We can ship internationally (some restrictions may apply) and international shipments will be quoted/invoiced at face value.
Can I pick up my order in person?
Yes! If you’re located in Salt Lake City, Utah, you’re welcome to arrange an in-person pickup from either our Downtown Market or our nearby warehouse. Please coordinate with our Concierge Specialist to ensure a smooth experience.
How do you ensure my perishables arrive safely?
We ship year-round with a commitment to keep your order properly cooled and in great shape on arrival, including the use of frozen ice packs, insulative wrap, and faster shipping methods as needed.
Is there a fee for ice and insulation on perishable gifts?
Yes. To simplify gifting, we apply a flat $6.99 fee on Concierge orders that covers both frozen ice packs and protective insulation on shipments containing perishable items (like cheese) or temperature-sensitive items (like chocolate). If you prefer to waive this fee and ship without ice and insulation, you may do so by assuming all related risks and making arrangements with our Concierge specialists. As an added bonus, all Gift Boxes over $150 (per shipment) include complimentary shipping and ice/insulation at no extra cost.
What happens if my gift gets lost or damaged during shipping?
If your original gift is lost or damaged in transit, we’re happy to work with you on resolution options. While carrier delays or issues (especially during the busy holiday season) are sometimes outside our control, we’ll review each situation and do our best to provide an appropriate solution.
Can I track my order?
Tracking information is provided automatically to the order email address. Please check your junk mail folder before notifying us if you don’t receive it within 2 days of the shipment date.
