Classic Cocktails
SHARE A TABLE, MAKE NEW FRIENDS: Tables will be shared by various parties to make room for as many guests as possible. We hope this fosters community and camaraderie in the company of new friends with shared food interests! If you’d like to share with guests on a separate reservation, please include this in your order comments.
ABOUT THE CLASS
An era of imbibing with panache died with the Prohibition. Luckily, this culture is being resurrected due to the resurfacing of a category that classic beverages cannot do without, bitters. Join us for an evening dedicated to all things mixology and bitters. We will explore the history, tasting notes, and uses (including culinary) of bitters and learn the nuances of layered balance as we sip on some mighty fine cocktails.
Reminder to please bring a valid photo ID if imbibing! Utah’s new 100% ID law requires everyone be carded for alcohol service.
Class begins at 7:30pm MOUNTAIN TIME
Please note: All cancellations require 24 hours notice. Food and wine are purchased and prepared in advance and cannot be re-purposed.
Meet your instructor: Mikey Edwards
Mikey Edwards spent his childhood in Southern Thailand, running from baboons, suckin’ mango seeds, and snacking on rambutans. One could say the jungle is in his bones. After a stint playing professional water polo in France he became best friends with the enigmatic Scotty Schuder and the two friends opened Dirty Dick, Paris’ first, and one of the worlds most beloved, tiki-trop bars. A recent transplant to SLC, Mikey spends his time slinging cocktails, doing Pete Maravich impersonations, finding bodies of water to belly flop into, and playing Bach on his classical guitar.
