When local distiller, Beehive Distilling took their 7 year barrel aged gin (one of the oldest aged gins ever made) out of it’s cask we knew we needed to barrel aged some bitters in it!

Together with their Head Distiller, Chris Barlow, and their bar program manager, Kelsey Terrell we choose one of our existing bitters flavors we thought would perfectly compliment the barrel, Burnt Honey Hops.

The cask took the balanced fruity characteristics and warm earthiness of our Burnt Honey Hops Bitters to another level with rich notes of caramel, juniper & char, to create a truly one of a kind Barrel Aged Bitters.

Suggested Uses:

Drinks: Pairs well with aged or silver rum, gin, cognac and whiskey based cocktails. Make a burnt honey old fashioned, a light and flavorful gin & tonic, or use it in sparkling water for a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage.

Food: Excellent in baked goods and frostings. Great with chicken & salmon dishes and it makes the perfect vinaigrette.

made from: alcohol (neutral grain spirit & Beehive Distilling Jack Rabbit Gin), Hop Flowers, Burnt Utah Honey, herbs & spices, filtered water. Barrel aged in Beehive’s 7-year gin cask for 6 months.
