Smooth dark chocolate made from fine Guatemalan cacao offers delightful fruitiness reminiscent of green bananas and mangoes with a mellow, dark fruit finish.

Located deep in the mountains only reachable by footbridge, the San Juan Chivite village was once a part of a coffee farm. Abandoned after the Guatemalan civil war, the villagers have since dedicated their crop to cacao and cultivated fine flavored beans that Goodnow Farms fell in love with. In admiration of the village's dedication to the crop, they funded the materials necessary for the villagers to build a new facility for fermentation and drying the beans, allowing for consistent, high quality cacao.

TASTING: creamy, lightly acidic, sharp, green banana, mango, sherbet, dark red fruit finish
PAIRING: barrel aged spirits e.g. rum or whiskey, IPA's, tequila, coffee, black tea
CACAO ORIGIN: Guatemala, San Juan Chivite, Guatemala
MADE IN UNITED STATES

INGREDIENTS: cacao beans, organic sugar, fresh pressed cocoa butter
