The Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP “Extra Old” is aged in wooden barrels for at least 25 years. Obtained by the best grapes of Trebbiano and Lambrusco of Modena from Malpighi’s estate, is characterized by a deep brown and limpid colour, intense taste and high density. The fragrance is harmonic and persistent, with flavour of grass, hay and plum.
It is aged inside the most precious kind of woods, following the ancient technique of “transfers and fillings”.
Uses: To be used raw, in little drops on all type of food, especially on cheeses, Parmesan cheese slices, fresh strawberries, desserts, vanilla ice cream or refined cocktails.
