From Indian cacao grown alongside coconuts and nutmeg, this dark chocolate is bright and tangy like passion fruit and raspberries with subtle hints of peanut.
The Anamalai Farm is located on the southwestern tip of India, near a town called Pollachi, an area is known for its outstanding coconuts. The owners of this plantation keep the land healthy and diverse by growing cacao, nutmeg and coconut, using drip irrigation and keeping a small herd of cows. Most of the Forastero and Criollo beans from this plantation are exported, but a small amount is kept for craft chocolate production by Anamalai’s owners.
