A multiple award winning cheese, Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton has been named the Supreme Champion of the World at the 2009 Nantwich International Cheese Show and Supreme Champion Cheese at the 2016 Great Yorkshire Show.

The Blue Stilton Cheese PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) means that it can only be made within the English Counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire from locally produced milk, pasteurized before use. Cropwell Bishop has been making Blue Stilton since the 1920’s (when they were called Somerset Creameries) and is now only one of six dairies able to produce authentic Stilton under the PDO.

MILK: pasteurized cow’s milk
TASTING: rich, tangy, savory, umami
SERVING: wrapped in mortadella, paired with fruity dark chocolate, with jam on a board
PAIRING: fruity red wine, vermouth, gose or farmhouse ales
