Rare and unique, the cacao for this limited release single origin grows in narrow river valleys of the Sechura desert in Puerta Pulache, Peru.
Grown continuously for over 1000 years, this crop is far from novel. While growing conditions are harsh and unlikely, these trees have found a niche in the microclimate of the streambeds flowing from the Andes. An 80% bar (darker than usual for Dick Taylor) allows the terroir of the cacao to shine through unadulterated.
