Mitica’s Fig Almond Cakes are made with premium whole Pajarero figs and Marcona almonds. It takes about 500-600 figs to create one 5kg cake. Workers destem the figs by hand. Today there are other companies importing fig cakes but they are a puree of stems, figs and other spices mashed into a bread.
This line of fruit products is produced artisanally in Valencia by four brothers who take great pride in their work. All the items are produced with fresh fruit, pressed by hand and contain no preservatives. They are excellent for retail or food service as a cheese accompaniment, dessert, ingredient or as is.
