Peychaud’s is one of the definitive bitters of the past two hundred years. Produced in New Orleans by the Sazerac Company since the early-mid 1800’s, New Orleans’ most recognizable mix drink, the Sazerac, uses Peychaud’s as the definitive cornerstone of the cocktail. Lighter and sweeter than some, few are so distinguished for such good reason.
